Have I got a good read for ya! Gene Grounds is the founder of Victim Relief Ministry, the group I am now volunteering with. Gene was a prison chaplain who, while serving those incarcerated for various crimes, reflected on the incredible care and comfort the prisoners received and began wondering who was taking care of the victims! That was the start of VRM. Working with the police and fire departments, VRM offers physical, emotional and spiritual support to those in need. Only recently did the scope expand to include disaster relief. This book, " Out Of The Ditch," tells Gene's story and talks about the Good Samaritan as set down in Luke 10:25-37. That Samaritan was one of the very first crisis responders and is the model for VRM! The intent of the book is to inspire the Good Samaritan in YOU. It is about being a loving neighbor to those left brokenhearted and devastated by loss, trauma and abandonment. Please consider picking up this book. It's available online at Amazon. Also, Barnes and Noble. It is an easy read. And a very inspirational read. Enjoy!! Attachments:
