Who would have EVER though that in today's modern world, you could find yourself shooting an ILS approach in of all things a WACO YMF... Waco is building brand new versions of the airplane, and I had the HUGE honor of flying one in Hawaii a few years ago... The airplane is now modeled for FSX and is by far the best in terms of handling and performance I have see for the sim.. I insturcted in the UPF7 back in another life along with a list of other vintage planes... This morning, with all the goodies Waco is putting into this beautuful airplane, I found myself shooting the ILS 05L approach to IND... I'll look up more facts on Waco and post them here later... Got to head for my grandson's basketball game now though at the YMCA Here is but one screen-shot whilst on the approach... Dave <>< Attachments:

Pulled back a bit to show more of the cockpit... Virtually EVERYTHING is functional... The only things I haven't found yet is where to tune the ADF (there is a gauge and an ADF audio button) and the tail wheel lock... I'm sure it must have one... Oh, and one other thing... This modeled version can and WILL do a very nice ground-loop thank you... Yep, I got heavy handed (footed) and sure enough, she did the most beautuful 270 degree ground loop you ever saw... It's been decades since I instructed in a handfull of biplanes, including the Waco UPF7 and I am pleased to say that I have never been even so much as "near the edge" of the runway... This hurt my pride because this thing handles exactly real.. www.wacoaircraft.com/Attachments:
