One of the world's most famous New Year's eve traditions unfolds each year at Times Square in New York City: the dropping of the ball at midnight.
The midnight ball drop dates back over 100 years...... This annual big ball drop is a dramatic worldwide symbol of the turning of the year from the old to the new.
Each year that passes away brings us much closer to the Second Coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Soon the New Jerusalem will appear and we will be residents of a whole new kingdom ruled by the King of kings and the Lord of lords.
Remember, this could be the year that Jesus returns. Are you ready?
Lord, You reminded us that in this world we would have trouble, but that you have overcome the world. Hallelujah!
