GOD BLESS AMERICA Author: Irving Berlin, 1918; revised 1938 The Forgotten Introduction Spoken Introduction: While the storm clouds gather far across the sea, Let us swear allegiance to a land that's free, Let us all be grateful for a land so fair, As we raise our voices in a solemn prayer.
God bless America, land that I love Stand beside her and guide her Through the night with the light from above From the mountains To the prairies, To the ocean white with foam God bless America, My home sweet home.Click on the link to hear Kate Smith sing "God Bless America." www.poofcat.com/911.html

What an awesome song. It has been years since I have heard Kate Smith sing. This is truly one of her best songs. As a young child, I used to listen to her records on the record player. The records at that time were only 78 rpm. Thank you for posting aand reminding us what this country is about and built on.
