What if it were true?
What if God created everything? It’s not that far fetched for anyone that looks around and sees the beautiful order of things. What if in love for his creation and knowing we needed direction, God sent his only son to us as a human, flesh and blood & vulnerable, working miracles and teaching truth to show us our purpose in life and to model it and save us from our lostness. What if He died and was brought back to life, not in secret, but before many, even 500 at one time who wrote down the events as the most impactful and most recorded ancient moment in history?
Then it gets deep...what if that event happened for you? And for me? And for everyone who believed in the power of it? That’s what John 3:16 says.
Was that a lie? A weird scam? Why else would people ignore those events and endlessly search elsewhere for purpose and meaning and the secret to life but never find it? Why do they feel lost and anxious and depressed and unfulfilled and read stacks & stacks of useless books and meet therapists but nothing fixes it? Could it be that our purpose and fulfillment and peace and rest for our souls was available all along as a gift from God if accepted?
Yet still some choose to reject it and search elsewhere. Even the most skeptical minds would consider...what if it were true?
