1956 - The “Sabre Dance,” the most notorious pitch-up loss of control caught on film, occurs at Edwards AFB, CA, when an F-100C Super Sabre making an emergency landing pitches up and rocks on its wings before falling off and exploding. The pilot was Lt. Barty Brooks.
