The following is a great cockpit video of a Concorde flight. Braniff flew Concorde (never "the" Concorde, according to the Brits!) for a period of time as an "interchange" with British Airways/Air France. Since international interchanges were not allowed they found a unique way to circumvent that. When the BA Concorde landed at IAD, the Braniff station manager bought the aircraft from the BA station manager for one dollar! Braniff now owned the machine. BI crews flew it, subsonically, to DFW and back to IAD where the BA station manager then bought the aircraft back with the same dollar bill. The same procedure was followed for a change over with Air France. Pretty cool! I could have held flight engineer on Concorde but decided against it after looking at the FE panel. Yikes, what a mess! And the school was about six months long. Naw, I decided it was better to yank gear on the 727! www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bjzoh3iQJcrmAttachments:
