AvWeb weekly emails often include what they call "Short Final"... It's usually an amusing exchange hear over the radio, often between ATC and an aircraft... Sometimes they are a bit lame, but I thought this one was pretty good..
SHORT FINAL
Our tower does periodic checks. About mid-day, I heard on the scanner:
Salem Tower:
"Tower test for tapes. One, two, three. Three, two, one. Test out."
A Local Aircraft:
"Salem tower, loud and clear. N12345."
Salem Tower:
"Aircraft N12345: Frequency change approved."
