DAY SEVEN: The Reason for Everything
Romans 11:36 → “Everything comes from God alone. Everything lives by his power, and everything is for His Glory.” Proverbs 16:4 → “The Lord has made everything for His own purposes.” • Ultimate goal of the universe is to show the glory of God • An expression of His goodness, intrinsic, eternal qualities • Best seen in Jesus o “The Word became flesh and lived among us. We have seen His glory…full of grace and truth” John 1:14 • In all of His creation, only two things fail to bring Him glory: o Fallen angels o Human beings (because of our sin) • “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23 • How to bring glory to God: o By fulfilling our purpose on this earth • As did Jesus
o 5 purposes (to be explored in more depth later) • WORSHIP • More than attending church • With our life style • LOVING OTHERS • BECOMING LIKE CHRIST • Spiritual maturity • SERVING OTHERS WITH OUR GIFTS • How are you wired • TELLING OTHERS ABOUT HIM
• Living for His Glory will require change o Priorities o Schedule o Relationships John 12:25 “Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.”
• Receive and believe
John 1:12 “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.”
Parting question: Where in my daily life can I be more aware of God’s Glory?

>>Ultimate goal of the universe is to show the glory of God<<
And we, as pilots, are so blessed to see the glory of the universe so beautifully from our cockpits. The breathtaking sunrises, the majesty of the summertime storm clouds, the smog free views of the heavens at night, the stunning beauty of Aurora Borealis. I could go on and on!!
>>5 purposes (to be explored in more depth later)<<
Can't wait!!
>>Where in my daily life can I be more aware of God’s Glory?<<
My Lab, Gracie, allows me to take her for a walk each morning. I can see His world awakening on those outings. A great time for reflection and prayer. The same at the end of the day, as we take our evening stroll. It's during the hustle and bustle of the middle part of the day that I get too busy to keep that awareness going. There is a great line in the song "Sweet Holy Spirit" that goes: "I worry so much, I forget how to pray." That's right on the mark!!
Thanks, Hut, for this series!!!
