The C-119 is an airplane that almost ended my flying career before it got started. As a young CFI, while in college in '66 or '67, I was giving dual instruction in a Cessna 150 on a hot, humid and very hazy day. Suddenly there was a very large shadow on my airplane. Looking up a C-119 passed overhead not many feet over us. He never saw us and we never saw him as we were both flying the same direction. I don't know how many feet separated us vertically, but it wasn't many!!
