For you older military aviators, like me, this will take you back. For you young'uns this was the typical scene at Saigon Tan Son Nhut AB, (Saigon), during the war. Mass chaos would best describe it! Wow! This brings back a lot of memories although I didn't get there until '70. But it was the same then. I was there when sappers breached security and blew up the ammo dump which is what I believe is depicted near the end of this footage! Hey,
Great photos and footage; think I saw a Navy S-2 Tracker in there; got my wings in that beautiful a/c; Thanks to "Apacolypse Now", we will forever get to watch airplanes in Vietnam set to 60's rock music. ;D
Thanks for the memories; did not see Robert Duval or Martin Sheen in the footage.
