Some of the things that I have missed since retiring from flying are the incredible reminders of God’s incredible handiwork that were visible so dramatically from the cockpit. The sunsets, the sunrises, the beauty of a line of storms from a distance and many more wonderful sights only seen so spectacularly from on high.
But there are so many other reminders of His incredible creation that are around us every day that we somehow miss. Just the other day I drove a friend to the airport for an early morning flight. Coming home I witnessed an incredibly beautiful sunrise from sea level and it was just awesome as that view from FL410. Sitting quietly in the morning on the back porch watching the squirrels aggravate my lab is just one more reminder of His majestic creations. These things are all around us if we just take the time to see them!
